Social Media Audits and Consulting

ABR’s Social Media Strategist will develop a comprehensive social media plan that analyzes your business’s current social media plan and expands it for superior results. We will determine what you are already doing well and identify specific ways to improve your efforts. In addition, we’ll examine all of your customer-facing content and create a strategy for effectively incorporating social media and utilizing it to your advantage.

ABR’s social media plan solution includes a social media audit, strategy, implementation plan, and reinforcement. We include this final reinforcement component to ensure that the tactics we identify are being implemented successfully over time. For your comprehensive social media plan, we will examine your company’s goals and provide recommendations using the following steps:

  1. Audit

ABR will take an in-depth look at the social media tools and methods you are already utilizing and will determine what tools are appropriate for your company based on your target market and goals. It is essential that all of your customer-facing communication (such as marketing collateral, newsletters, website, etc.) is seamlessly intertwined and consistent, so we will also review all of the ways that your company communicates and engages with customers and assist you in conveying a cohesive and integrated social media approach. In addition, we will ensure that your company is not simply “pushing” information, but is engaging and providing opportunities for customers to share and communicate back with your company.

The audit component will also include a Google analytics evaluation to determine how others are finding your company website. This will provide indicators of what social media strategies are working as well as opportunities to adjust the site accordingly.

In addition, the audit will contain a social media assessment of up to three of your competitors. We will analyze their social media approaches in order to determine how you compare to your competition in this area. This competitive assessment will include an evaluation of their Web sites and their current presence in Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook.

  2. Strategy

The second component of your social media plan is a clear and comprehensive strategy that will identify the social media tools that your business should use, techniques to gain connections and followers, suggested social media policies, and sample profiles. This strategy will be an integrated approach to ensure that there is alignment across your company.

  3. Implementation Plan

The implementation plan will include a timeline that identifies ongoing social media management tasks and other key information and events to communicate to your client base. It will contain specific tactics for implementing your social media plan throughout your organization. We will also recommend a task force approach for ongoing social media management.

  4. Reinforcement

ABR will work with you on an ongoing basis to ensure that your social media plan is implemented effectively and to make adjustments accordingly. This reinforcement step is critical to the overall success of the strategy, because as you increase your social media activity and gain momentum, there will be new ways to leverage social media. Also, companies and situations can change over time, and you may need to respond differently in the future than you do initially. Our recommendation is to meet and reassess your social media status and progress on a monthly basis for three months after the initial social media plan is implemented (total of three times).

Ongoing Consulting Options

As an alternative, ABR can provide social media consulting in place of a social media plan or in addition to it for ongoing support. Our consulting will include expert advice regarding the social media tools that will best reach your target market, a review of your policies, and/or targeted problem-solving. We can also provide an ongoing consultant or help you identify or interview for a social media marketing employee or team on an as-needed basis.
